DR. H. D. KANGA LEAGUE KNOCK OUT RULES
 
 
1. Conditions for accepting New Entries
If the total number of entries in a particular year exceeds the number 98, the entries, for Division G shall be accepted subject to the following conditions:
 
a. If the number of new entries is 4 or more, then the 4 Clubs/Gymkhanas of Division G of the previous year standing at the bottom of the table of points and the new entrants shall play in the Knock Out rounds to decide the best 4 Clubs/Gymkhanas to be admitted to Division G.
 
b. If the number of new entries is less than 4 but more than 1, than the 2 Clubs/Gymkhanas of Division G of the previous year standing at the bottom of the table of points and the new entrants shall play in the Knock Out rounds to decide the best 2 Clubs/Gymkhanas to be admitted to Division G.
 
c. If there is only 1 new entrant the Club/Gymkhana standing at the bottom of the Division G of the previous year and the new entrant shall play Knock Out round and the winner shall be admitted to Division G.
 
2. Duration of matches
 
a. The matches mentioned in Rule -1 (a), (b) and (c) above shall be of one day's duration and shall be played on the basis of 45 overs per side with each over consisting of 6 balls.
 
b. No bowler shall be allowed to bowl more than 9 overs.
 
c. The Model Rules/Playing Conditions of Mumbai Cricket Association regarding staging of limited overs matches shall be applicable.
 
3. Conceding/Walkover in a match
 
If any Club/Gymkhana gives a walkover or concedes a match or withdraws during the course of the Knock Out rounds, it shall not be allowed to participate in the next three years.
 
4. Dates and grounds for matches
 
The matches mentioned in Rule - 1 (a), (b) and (c) above shall be played prior to the commencement of Dr. H. D. Kanga Cricket League (Proper), on the dates and grounds fixed by Dr. H. D. Kanga Cricket League Sub Committee.
 
5. Players of Clubs/Gymkhanas lost in Knock Out rounds can play for Clubs/Gymkhanas in E, F and G Divisions only.
 
Players of such Clubs/Gymkhanas which do not qualify to play in the League Proper because of their defeat in the Knock Out rounds will be deemed eligible to play only for the Clubs/Gymkhanas drawn to play in the E, F and G Divisions in Dr. H. D. Kanga Cricket League with prior NOC from Hon Secretary Reg. Sub committee
 
6. If the match could not be played due to rain or some other reason, the result of the match shall be decided by spin of coin in presence of both the Umpires.
