Name : Lalchand Rajput


Lalchand Rajput has been elected as the Member of the Managing Committee in the Biennial Election held on 18th October 2013.
He has served as the Jt. Hon. Secretary for 4 years.
Graduate in Arts from the Ruia College and has passed the Masters in Marketing Management of the University of Mumbai.
He is the Manager (Sports & PR), Forbes Gokak Limited and represents Forbes Group on the Mumbai Cricket Association.
Lalchand Rajput has served Mumbai at different levels and played for Mumbai in Ranji Trophy for 11 years and was a prolific rungetter. He made way for the youngsters in Mumbai and played as a professional for Assam and Vidharbha. He played for India as an Opening Batsman. He has earlier played for India against England U -19 and Zimbabwe
U -25.
He is the first player to score a hundred in each innings of Duleep Trophy Finals.
Lalchand played in the Scottish League for 18 years.
He has represented Scotland in Benson Hedges and Natwest Trophy.
He has obtained the Coaching Award from England (National Coaching Award).
Rajput has groomed all Level I coaches in India and stood 1st in the Level III Coaching Exam of the BCCI. He is in charge of training coaches at the National Cricket Academy of the BCCI.
He led Tata Sports Club for 7 years and under his leadership, youngsters have benefited immensely. Almost all the Mumbai players have played under his captaincy and his leadership has brought the maximum number of Championships to TATA's, an unparalled feat in Mumbai.
A multi-faceted cricketer, actively playing top cricket for 20 years, Lalchand Rajput even today plays local club cricket and has helped a number of budding cricketers to sharpen their skills.
He was the Coach of the Rest of India Under-19 Team for the tour of England, Pakistan, New Zeland and Malaysia in 2006.
He was appointed as coach of the India Under-15 team for Asia Cup at Sharjah in December 2002.
He was a Coach of the West Zone Academy in 2001 and last year was promoted as a batting coach at the National Cricket Academy.
He was the coach of Mumbai Ranji Team.
He is the Director for Coaching at the National Cricket Academy in BCI and has been conducted coaching courses for different states in India
He was appointed as the Manager of Indian Cricket Team for the Twenty20 World Championship 2007 held in South Africa, which was won by India defeating Pakistan in Final.
