Ravi Savant has been elected as the Hon. Treasurer of the Association in the Biennial Election held on 15th July 2011.

He is a Chartered Accountant by profession and represents Aarey Cricket Club on the Association since 1984.

Ravi Savant is actively involved with Club Cricket as candidates, then administrator and helps number of Cricketers to play for his Club and helped them to get employment in various firms. He also conducts Manohar Savant Memorial Tournament for under 19 summer nets of MCA for last 7 years.

He has served as the Hon. Treasurer of the Association from 1990-1998, (four terms) during which he was responsible for computerizing the Accounts of the Association. He brought the accounts of the Association up-to-date and facilitated to hold A.G.M’s in time. After completing the Hon. Treasurer’s tenure, he became Vice-President of the Association from 2000 to 2009 (four terms). Though he was Vice President of the Association, he also looked after accounts of the Association.

Always ready to help young cricketers and take keen interest in forming rules of MCA. Has given independent opinions on various projects of MCA.

Ravi Savant was a member of the Finance Committee of the BCCI during 1992-93, 93-94. He was a member of the Umpires Committee of BCCI for the year 2003-04 and again Finance Committee member for 2004-05. He was appointed as Manager of the Indian Team to West Indies in 2006. His report was appreciated by the President of the BCCI and many of his suggestions are being implemented. He also represented MCA as an Administrator, in an conference held at Johannesburg, South Africa in 2007.
